IRISH PLASTERING · DOING IT PROPERLY
Denis Ahern and the YHWH crew. Clean edges, honest work and walls that stand up to the weather. Homes and commercial jobs across the west of Ireland and beyond.

THE WORK
Every job measured twice, finished once.
A smooth, level finish on ceilings and walls, ready for paint, wallpaper or lime-wash.
Weatherproof, breathable systems for older and newer builds alike. Done properly the first time.
Plasterboard installation, jointing and full skim, the backbone of any clean interior.
Stone-effect, sand-finish and lime plaster to match the character of the house.
Cracks, damp damage, old ceilings and after-builder repairs made good and invisible.
Full house plastering, inside and out, worked around the rest of the site.

MEET DENIS
Denis Ahern puts the finish on Irish homes, the last few millimetres nobody sees coming but everybody feels. A small, steady crew, a big standard, and a name that goes on the wall.

HOW IT GOES
Ring the office, message Arthur on WhatsApp, or fill in the quote form. A few photos of the job help a lot.
Denis calls out, measures up and talks you through the finish that suits.
One clear price for the work, with a date you can plan around. No surprises after.
Clean walls, tidy site, and we don't leave until it's the way we'd want it ourselves.
LEARN THE TRADE
We take lads and girls on to learn it properly: mix, board, float, finish. Start as a labourer and work your way up to the trowel. No experience needed, though a bit of experience is always appreciated. If you're steady, willing and up for the pace, we'll teach you the rest.

THE AHERNS

“Everything here is built around family.”
Greetings. My name is Denis Ahern Jr, born 14th July 1989. I live at 72 Springfield Court, Castlebar, County Mayo. Firstly, and most importantly, I give thanks with the highest possible honour to my Lord and my God, Jesus Christ. I thank God Almighty for the holy prophets and the apostles of old. I thank my Lord and my God for my pastor, leader, teacher and guide, Gino Jennings, a present-day apostle for our times. I pray for the apostle and the ministers who labour alongside him and their families, for what a marvellous and wonderful, tough job they do. I thank God for the truth of God and for placing me in the First Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, where I repented and was baptised in the name of Jesus Christ in 2022, where I continue to learn so much to clean myself up to become a better man of God, which is the true test of life: to save one's soul. Truly, I have to give thanks to God Almighty for where He has brought me from to where I currently stand in my life today. I thank God for my health and wonderful family, and also for the work which He has helped lead me to, through certain people, to establish a family-run Irish business. Next Step Productions, Kevin Nestor, I thank the Lord for you.
My daughter, Emilia Ahern, born 30th January 2015 in Castlebar, is the joy and heartbeat of our family. She goes to school in Derrywash National School, which really is a happy place for her. She loves to go there for her studies with great teachers and staff that make my family and I so happy. She has a sporty dad who loves sports: athletics, boxing, gymnastics, jujitsu, and many other sports. Sadly, we lost Emilia's mother, Ceylan Batogowska, when Emilia was three years old. She will always be missed and never forgotten in all of our hearts. I pray Ceylan will make the second resurrection, and I still love her dearly to this day.
I thank God Almighty for my father and mother, Denis and Margaret Ahern. Denis was raised in Abbeyfeale, Co. Limerick. Margaret was raised in Ballycroy, Co. Mayo. Words are hard to describe what they both have done for me in my life, and especially for Emilia. She has great grandparents whom she really loves. I also have to thank God Almighty for my two brothers, Michael James and Patrick Ahern. They both are really more than great uncles to Emilia. They continue to do so much for me and Emilia. We both will always be grateful to God for them, and we both love and appreciate them so much.
Finally, I thank my holy God for my work and passion for it. He's taught me very well through my father, Denis Ahern Sr, who is the toughest man I know. My father has worked seriously hard all his life for me and my family. He's a master builder with years of experience working in Ireland and England. A small story about my dad: he had a serious accident in England when I was a baby, falling thirty-eight feet down an elevator shaft, and is still walking to this day, which shows his toughness and serious dedication to his work. All glory goes to God Almighty, and I thank God for my dad and mother. They both together are my heroes. I'm setting up this business as they both have inspired me to do so. With hard work and dedication and true faith, anything is possible. Me and my dad have had many battles which we don't charge customers for. Always a shake of hands at the end of the day, and we move on. Teaching me the way he was taught. "There is only one way to do it, and that is the right way." To my father, mother, brothers and Emilia: this is for you. I love you all so much. You've always been there for me. I thank the One and True God for you all. May He keep blessing our family with health and happiness in His truth. Lord Jesus, I thank you. In Jesus Christ's name, I pray. Amen.
